*looks around* Well, as you can see this blog is pretty much in ruins. I am currently redesigning my homepage and haven't developed a blog-out yet. So for the time being, please refer to my livejournal for pointless ramblings:

insomnia.
Wish that autumn would come. I have to get up at six today to catch my train to Berlin, now it's half past two and I still can't sleep because of this dreadful heat. It makes me sleepless, it makes me constantly thirsty which means my eyes are drier than ever, it affects my circulation, it makes me absolutely incontent and if I would describe just how unhappy it makes me with myself it would make me sound worse than a teenager. Oh, may storms rise, lightnings strike and rainfalls pore down to make the world appear as if its end was near. Blasted summer heat!

note to self
If you have a full teacup on your desk and a fly in your room is constantly buzzing around the screen all evening. Should the buzzing suddenly stop, please, do not, I repeat NOT, drink any tea before turning the light on and giving the cup a very good look.

Mica, first of all, I am extremly sorry for exclaiming the corpse of the book so loudly this morning. I am sorry for this highly insensitive spoiler and should eventually learn to think before shouting.

Lika-chan, go and buy it, from cross-reading I can assure you it's safe.

Still alive.
To all those who worried, I am still up and running ... and working too. *sighs* I will be a whole lot happier in three weeks time when all presheduled projects and papers are done and ready.

You are both wrong, Ha-chan's looks made the weather hot in the first place. ^_- Of course my favorite garb from the weekendly fashion-show was only presented on Sunday and way hotter than the Saturday outfit due to a larger hugability factor. *sucker for corsaged up ladies* Aye, one of these days I should trash the jeans and t-shirt style and get myself presentable too. Alas, I am not made for looking stunning so it's not worth the effort. ^_-
At Saturday, June 14, 2003 // 12:45 a.m. Sats was sleepy.

Insomnia
Summer is great. It's so hot and uncomfortable that even any thought of sleep seems impossible. For the past week, ever since temperatures left the bearable areas of 20 ?C to reach almost 30 I haven't caught much more than about 4 hours of sleep at night and no time to sleep when I felt drowsy during day. It's probably good for getting overdue work done and a nice excuse to spend nights with browsing new web sites, but honestly I'd be happy to have less heat, some pretty rain clouds and a whole night of blissful, dreamless sleep.
At Friday, June 6, 2003 // 03:43 a.m. Sats wanted sleep.

Oatmeal to Porridge
The sky is yellow, more orange or beige actually and I am having ... well, supposed to be oatmeal. It started out as oatmeal before I ran out of oatmeal while cooking, so I had to fill up the boiling milk with mom's cereals. In the end my current supper consists of oatmeal with three kinds nuts, raisins and sunflower seams. In short, my beautiful oatmeal turned porridge. I desperately need to buy un-fancy cereals tomorrow ... ran out of cookies or biscuits too. All that is left for midnight raids is pudding, cheese, soy sauce, noodles and biscuits (seaman style).

Animated
Hmmmm, I still haven't seen Matrix Reloaded and I'll have to wait longer for Erol Flynn Jr. than the rest of you, BUT I just saw the animatrix, on TV even. And I highly suggest everyone to get hold of those animated shorts, most of them are superb. Even the last flight of the Orion was quite good though I still prefer hightly realistic 3D animation for video games only ... and they were quite obviously showing off their goods at the begining. No point in the initial fight at all but, proclaiming how very good they are. (Well they are ^_-) The second Renaissance reminded me strongly (with capital S) of Armitage III, both in style as well as in theme. The story about the haunted manor was moving, and the detective story was nicely dark and film-noire ... and Trinity's anime version looked awesome. The 4th one, with the boy discovering the matrix is probaly another of my favorites, it has a very interesting style. One of them looked very much like X btw.

PS
Ammie, you don't have to wait for X3 to see Beast. He was in X2 already. You remember the TV in the pub where Mystique *censored due to possible spoilers for the guardless* the guy in the interview was clearly labeled as Hank McCoy. ^_-

Socializing
Dearest roomie, I don't know whether you got my e-mail. With my mail account acting up recently I suppose not, so once again and all public: Thank you ever so much for the travel guide to Middle Earth! I simply have to go visiting New Zealand now that I know all the good places to draw - and find several others on the way. And many thanks for suggesting a new comic series to spend my money on too. ^_- I only planned to give the Castle Waiting a closer look last night and in the end couldn't put it down. I'll have to haunt amazon for the sequels, if only to see Pindar's green, fuzzy, tailed and horned father. Btw I completely agree with Kathie, wouldn't want to let Beaky go either. ^_- (still prefer fuzzy/tattoed, blue elves and adamantium boned rogues though)

Lika-chan, unfortunately I have to inform you that I read your entry concerning Snape's perfect match before you turned the second Remus into Sirius. I'll simply regard this as a Freudian slip and take your agreement with me in this matter for granted. ^_- Btw, you are forgiven for forgetting my birthday, my grandaunt did the same and hasn't remembered yet - besides I am awfully good at forgetting birthdays myself.

Alison, the thing about the cats is horrible, but on some news program they talked about speculations that the SARS virus does come from some type of cat that's popular for cooking in China. Since nobody is planning to make stray-cat barbeque though (at least I hope nobody does), it still remains unreasonable to kill of whole cat populations. Just out of curiosity, do some people in Singapore let their pet cats run free?

I have to correct myself, Beth-Anne was from Scottland (go figure) I mixed the Mary Sues ... but with the girl I was talking about bearing the name Adalia it doesn't change a thing.
At Sunday, June 1, 2003 // 09:43 p.m. Sats had tea ... like always.

Germanisms part 1
Dear Mary Sue, I'd like to inform you that masking your identity as Beth Ann is not only terribly unoriginal but rather predictable as well. Also you might be interested to learn that Beth Ann is not exactly a fairly common name for a teenage girl in Germany ... you might want to pick Janine, Michelle or Jacqueline (spoken Jakeeliine, mind the throaty e at the end) for authenticity. But, please, I know we did badly in Pisa statistics, still most kids here at least know some practical grammar. If you don't know any German, don't write it! Alta Vista translator will give you fairly entertaining, but completetly inaccurate results and es zerrt sehr an meinem ohnehin strapazierten Nervenkostüm, wenn ich die Übersetzung für meine eigene Muttersprache erst unten auf der Seite nachlesen muß. In other words, why don't you write the whole fic in English? Or for heaven's sake ask someone who actually speaks it! Still, I cannot help but marvel the sudden desire for being German as to have better chances with fuzzy blue elves, from the news I gathered all US Americans hated us due to the war thing.
At Thursday, May 29, 2003 // 12:03 a.m. Sats was fuming.

I like the blue one >^-^< may they show more of him bambfing around next time
Lika dearest, I was wondering: Do you simply ignore my contributions to our lil' ML or don't you get them? I recently got the feeling alot of my mails don't reach their aim, that's why I ask.
At Friday, May 23, 2003 // 11:00 p.m. Sats checked mail

The incredible Nightcrawler.
Ammie, please find the answers to your quiz in my archive. I had to refresh the page because the layout had become thoroughly messy.
Mica and I went to see X2 again, in original this time. Herr Wagner has quite a cute accent, especially when he's talking German - he sounds slightly Romanian. I like how he prays in German when he does so for himself and switches to English when he wants the others to understand as well. I love what they did to his design too! The clothes are much better than those from the comics and I just ADORE the tattoos. The opening fight sequence was amazing! The Dies Irae comes so very fitting ... and it was wonderfully coreographed as well. Little Inkspot bampfing around.
Then there's Wolverine - rather yummie Wolverine if I might say so .... art teacher. And this time we had Dr Pepper soda as well. ^_-
All in all bin ich beschämt einzugestehen, dass ich beginne, mich für etwas von Marvel sehr zu interessieren. Wouldn't have thought I'd get into X-men two weeks ago. Ach ja.
Maria, care to give me your livejournal ID? You'll get mine, if I get yours. ^_-
